Skaters, BMXers compete Saturday

KINGMAN - Tinnell Memorial Sports Park Committee will be hosting a Back to School competition from 3-10 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Havasu City Rotary Skatepark. The entry fee is $5 and will include raffles, music and fun.

Metro Stars to host tryouts

KINGMAN - The Las Vegas Metro Stars Fall Scout Baseball Club will be conducting tryouts for its 16U, 18U and Super Stars (Ages 18-24) teams from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Chaparrall High School in Las Vegas.

In the past, the Metro Stars have had valued players from Kingman and would like to invite all players to try out. The Metro Stars are slated to play in tournaments scouted by Major League teams and college recruiters as well as individual games against college baseball programs.

Coed volleyball teams can register

KINGMAN - Parks and Recreation is taking registrations for this year's upcoming adult coed volleyball league. Teams may register until Wednesday or until 24 teams have filled the league. Completed rosters are required to be submitted at the time of registration along with the team fee of $135 plus a $10 player fee.

The minimum age for the league is 16 with a parent's signature. A mandatory manager's meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Kingman Police Department, 2730 E. Andy Devine Ave.
