KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dondi Shade Hurt, 20, and a 20-year-old male, both of Kingman, early Monday evening. Hurt was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on two misdemeanor warrants issued by Kingman Municipal Court. The other 20-year-old was arrested on a misdemeanor charge and misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. At approximately 5:45 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Diagonal Avenue near Charles Drive and contacted the driver. A records check showed him to have a suspended driver's license and an outstanding warrant, an MCSO release stated. He was taken into custody without incident. Deputies contacted the passenger, Hurt. A records check showed Hurt to have outstanding warrants. Hurt was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed an orange pouch containing marijuana and rolling papers, the release stated. During conversations with Hurt, she said the items belonged to her, the release added. Both were transported and booked into the Mohave County jail. There were two children inside the vehicle that were released to relatives. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
