The Valle Vista Library will have a Beginning Beading program for adults at the library on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 2:30 p.m. All supplies for the class will be provided free of charge.

The library is joining the Kingman Library in its support of Spc. Lee Duay and his unit in Iraq. There is a poster listing the items the fine folks would appreciate to help make life a bit more pleasant while they serve our country there. Items may be brought to the Valle Vista Library, and they will be collected and sent to the unit. This is an ongoing project, so several packages will be sent to the unit.

The Code3/Clothe the Kids Golf Tournament this past Saturday was a great success, and we want to thank everyone who participated in any way. I will have the date to take the kids shopping in December when it is closer to the time.

On a personal note, I was involved in an automobile accident on Route 66 on Aug. 13. I would like to thank all the people who stopped to offer assistance. I especially want to thank the nurse who was the first one there and kept me calm until help arrived. Thanks to the "Lady in the Green House" who called 911 and all of the others who offered to be witnesses. I also want to thank all the emergency personnel at the scene and at Kingman Regional Hospital. It was a very scary experience, but all these people made it a bit easier.
