This weekend, December 6 - 7th, St. Mary Roman Catholic Church will celebrate the Second Sunday of Advent. The weekend Mass schedule is as follows:

Saturday, December 6th: 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.  Reconciliation; 4:00 p.m. Vigil Mass - Dolan Springs; 6:00 p.m. Vigil Mass - Kingman

Sunday, December 7th: 8:00 a.m. Mass - Kingman; 10:30 a.m. Mass - Kingman; 5:00 p.m. Misa en español - Kingman

First Friday, December 5th, will be celebrated with Masses at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at St. Mary Church. Anointing of the Sick will be held during both Masses for practicing Roman Catholics who are 65 years or older or are seriously ill. Also, Reconciliation will be held from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on that date.

A First Saturday Devotional Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on December 6th, at St. Mary Church. A reminder:  Reconciliation is available from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. that morning.

Altar Server Training will be held on Saturday, December 6th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary Church. Both current and new servers are asked to attend this important session. Boys, girls, men and women are needed to serve in this important ministry.  Altar Servers need to be practicing Roman Catholics who have received First Holy Communion.  For more information, contact Deacon Ricardo Gonzalez at 753-3359, extension 21.

Tickets for a Christmas Concert and Dinner that will be held Saturday, December 28th, at 4 PM, will be sold the weekends of December.

December 8, 2008, is a Holy Day of Obligation, as we celebrate the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The schedule of Masses is:

Sunday, December 7th Vigil-Holy Day Mass 4:00 p.m.  Our Lady of the Desert - Dolan Springs

Monday, December 8th Holy Day Masses 8:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.  St. Mary - Kingman

The food drive for Operation HO(PE), a Christmas food basket program co-sponsored by St. Mary Catholic Church, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Kingman  Area Food Bank, continues this weekend, December 6-7, 2008. Bins will be available in the vestibule at weekend Masses through the second weekend of December. Your donation of food or funds may also be brought to the Parish Center, located at the corner of 3rd and Spring Streets (in downtown Kingman) during regular office hours. Your gift of canned and nonperishable food items will help those in need during the holiday season!

All active and auxiliary members of the Legion of Mary are invited to attend the annual General Reunion Potluck on Wednesday, December 10th, beginning with Rosary and Holy Mass at 12:10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Bullhead City, Arizona.

Friday, December 12th, is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  Mass with be celebrated at 8 a.m. in English.  At 5:00 p.m., a re-enactment of the appearance of Our Lady to St. Juan Diego will be presented (Spanish language).  At 6:00 p.m., a Mass in Spanish will be celebrated.

United Blood Services and the Knights of Columbus will sponsor a Blood Drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13th, at St. Mary Parish Center.
