KINGMAN - On Sunday, the Kingman Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Camelback Boulevard and Christy Drive. According to witness reports, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Camelback and hit an embankment before colliding with a wooden fence around 4:45 p.m. The sole occupant, a 37-year-old female, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, said Kingman Fire Battalion Chief Bill Johnston. The female slipped in and out of consciousness while being treated by the KFD for head, back and abdominal injuries. River Medical transported her to Kingman Regional Medical Center.
GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Roger Scot Rossier, 53, of Golden Valley Saturday on suspicion of felony prohibited possessor, misconduct involving weapons, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. At 9:14 p.m., deputies responded to a weapons offense call in the area of Unkar and Estrella Road. They were attempting to locate where the shots were coming from when they observed a parked truck with its headlights on in the 1800 block of Eloy Road. As deputies approached the vehicle, a man appeared from the side of the truck. Deputies questioned the man, identified as Rossier, about gunshots fired in the area and if he had a gun. Rossier allegedly said he did not hear any gunshots and did not have a gun. When deputies attempted to search Rossier, he turned and walked away. Deputies grabbed both of Rossier's arms, and as they struggled, Rossier said he had a gun. Deputies were able to restrain Rossier and confiscated a .45 caliber revolver. A further search of Rossier, according to deputies, revealed a black bag containing marijuana and four plastic bags containing a white crystal substance, which field-tested positive for methamphetamine. Rossier was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
GOLDEN VALLEY -Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Russell L Mott, 68, of Golden Valley Monday morning on a felony burglary warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court on Oct. 3 with $7,500 bond. At 11:23 a.m., deputies contacted Mott at a residence in the 2900 block of Naco Road regarding his outstanding warrant. Mott was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
