Viola Duncan

Viola Duncan

On Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, Viola 'Vicki' Mae Duncan went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Vicki was born in Tucson on Dec. 15, 1954. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother and namesake, Viola Mae Byam; father, Jay; and mother, Donna.

Vicki leaves behind her loving husband and best friend, Jimmy Carl Duncan; and their three children, Shelley Tarvin, Jason Hayman and Jessie Rice. Vicki also leaves her two sisters, Tammy (Blaine) Acton and Paula (Mike) Baxter; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren; extended family; and dear friends.

Vicki and her family are long-time residents of the Wikieup and Kingman areas.

We slowly move through our sadness and grief, remembering and longing for the one we so dearly love and miss. With time and through sharing the burden of our grief with family and friends, the sadness will be lessened through memories of Vicki's love, laughter and light. We will keep her spirit alive and with us always.

The family wishes to extend a very special heartfelt thank you to Johnnie Hoeft for all of his support during this very difficult time.

A memorial service is planned at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave.
