Experts will address sustainability

The Colorado River Development Sustainable Planning Consortium will host a "To Be or Not To Be Sustainable" community-capacity building conference on Friday and Saturday at Laughlin Ranch Club House, 1360 William Hardy Drive, Bullhead City. Everyone is invited.

The two-day event includes comments by Laughlin Ranch Sustainable Development Council founder David Lords; Kathleen Tackett-Hicks speaking on The Ranch at White Hills and Mardian Ranch Sustainable Development projects; Dr. Charles Burke, Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, and David Schaller, Tucson Office of Conservation and Sustainable Development; Jack Earhardt, Hualapai Nation residential coordinator and director of planning and economic development; Coconino County Sustainable Economic Development Initiative board member Marshal Whitmore; Windy River Institute introducing the Colorado River riverfront potential; and keynote speaker Fred Kent on the Dan Diego waterfront project stakehoders and the10 greatest waterfronts in the world.
