In all the flurry about Peach Springs Unified School District, there are two things which stand out:
First, there does not seem to be any efforts to prosecute what is obviously criminal wrongdoing, all the way up to the federal level.
Secondly, the plight of the taxpayers who are paying for these negligent acts is being ignored. I am one of those taxpayers. My property taxes went up this year by 55 percent, 72 percent of that increased total goes to a school district that I could not use if I wanted to.
I would like Mr. Organ to write an article about that inequity. I don't imagine he will, though, for the same reason that politicians and bureaucrats ignore us. We represent far too small a number of readers/voters to be a threat to anyone.
