In loving memory of our mother, Mary Thelma Chambers, who passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007.
She was born March 11, 1935, in Tulsa, Okla., and moved to California at an early age where she grew up in Stockton.
She will be remembered by most as Aunt Mary, who made the best food west of the Mississippi at Aunt Mary's Tavern and Kitchen in Sunny Valley, Ore.
In her retirement, she and her husband of 57 years, Alton Chambers, moved to Chloride, where they stayed for their winter months. They followed the racing circuit on hydro boats and motorcycle racing.
Mary is survived by her husband, Alton Chambers; her daughter, Audrey Chambers; son, Danny; son and daughter-in-law, Alton and Cheryl Chambers; brothers, Chuck Tatum and Dale Burke; sisters, Joan Sholer and Audrey Rasmussen; grandchildren, Mike Breyette, Mary Jane Taylor, Joshua Dollins, Tatum Goldsmith, and Katie Chambers; and great-grandchildren, Lynanna, Cheyanne, Benny, Colby, Easton, Bredon, Mahala and Mary Jane's child-to-be baby Taylor.
She had more friends that cannot possibly be counted and we will all miss her.
Burial will be on Sunday, Jan. 6, at Sinnett Cemetery, Sand Springs, Okla.
