Norbert "Nip" Ira Purcell, 79, of Kingman passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, after suffering complications from Alzheimer's.
Norbert was born Nov. 6, 1928, in Sedalia, Mo.
As a young child he moved with his mother to Southern California and lived there until retiring from Southern California Edison in 1984, when he moved to Kingman.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Enid Purcell; four sons, Steven Purcell of Reno, Nev., Paul Purcell, Matthew Purcell and Jon Purcell of Kingman; three daughters, Arlene Couch of Cave Junction, Ore., Carrie Gonzalez of Alamogordo, N.M., and Maria Castillo of Kingman; his brother, Don Fee of Canyon Country, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and eight or so great-grandchildren and still counting.
Norbert was predeceased by two sons, Timothy Purcell and Patrick Purcell.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 12, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
