GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Larry Gene Kennison, 49, of Golden Valley early Friday evening on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Sacramento County in California. At approximately 6:52 p.m., deputies contacted Kennison in the 3500 block of Ajo Road in an unrelated incident. A records check showed Kennison to have an outstanding warrant. Kennison was taken into custody without incident.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael David Bernat, 37, of Kingman Friday afternoon on a probation violation felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court. At approximately 3:10 p.m., deputies contacted Bernat in the area of Norrie Drive and Northfield Avenue. A records check showed Bernat to have outstanding warrants. Bernat was taken into custody without incident.

KINGMAN - The Kingman Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 6:28 p.m. last Thursday in the 3600 block of Moore Street. A total of two engines, one battalion chief, one assistant chief and 14 firefighters responded to the residence, where smoke was seen exiting through the front door. The 49-year-old female occupant, who was uninjured, reported that the fire originated in the kitchen. Firefighters took an offensive approach and quickly extinguished the fire, Battalion Chief Bill Johnston said. It was determined the fire originated from a gas leak and caused approximately $3,000 in damages. The KPD cleared the scene about one hour later.

KINGMAN - Kingman Police detectives arrested a suspected child molester last Thursday. Around 1:30 p.m., detectives arrested Stanley Richard Bartholf, 42, of Kingman for child molestation. Detective had served a search warrant at Bartholf's home in the 2500 block of Valentine Avenue where they allegedly seized computer equipment, sex paraphernalia and images of child sexual exploitation believed to have been downloaded from the Internet. Over the past year, Bartholf allegedly molested a 12-year-old female that he knew, police said. The victim disclosed the actions to her parent, who in turn contacted the KPD.
