This Friday will be our Fourth of July celebration. The day will start with an 8 a.m. shot gun start to the golf tournament. The format will be a four-person scramble with an A-B-C-D player per team, and you pick your own team. The pit barbecue will be served to the golfers for lunch and to the public from 4 to 6 p.m.
There will be various raffle prizes and a 50/50. Games for the children will start at 5 p.m., as will music by DJ "Ray's the Roof." Bring chairs to watch our great fireworks display at dusk. It promises to be a great, fun-filled day here in Valle Vista.
The latest word on the pool opening is they are waiting for the approval letter from the state and are hopeful that it will be this week. We sure hope it is soon - with this 110-degree weather, it would be nice to have it open.
