Alvin Young

Alvin passed away on July 9, 2008, of natural causes while serving the Lord at Camp Tishomingo in eastern Arizona. He went to bed and woke up in heaven. He was a young 63 years old. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in August 1993. He decided to take the narrow path to heaven, instead of the wide, paved road to hell. Knowing where he is makes it easier on his survivors.

His survivors are his wife, Norma; his beloved special-needs sister-in-law, Ann Libey, who shares their home in Kingman; our loving children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, who live in various states. The children are: Carolyn Macke, Michele Alder, Patricia Haskell, Leslie Tuescher, Aaron Young and Kathy Young; our loved godchildren are: Edward, Wanda and Laura Lyons and DJ Weaver; and we have 14 grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Alvin's brothers and sisters are: Dean, Orlo, DeEtte, Dagbert, Alma, Quintin, Donald and Anabel; his stepdad, is Don DeBoer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, out-laws, ex-laws and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Lanora.

His life celebration will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, in the Fellowship Hall at Calvary Baptist Church, 3575 Shaeffer Ave., Kingman, with a potluck and memories. His ashes will be placed next to his mother in Duchesne, Utah, at a later date.
