GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Danita Jean Correll, 29, of Golden Valley early Sunday evening for felony forgery, felony possession of dangerous drugs, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor theft. At approximately 2:41 p.m., deputies responded to the Sheriff's Office in Kingman in reference to a forgery. Deputies contacted the 52-year-old female victim. The victim reported that an unauthorized check was cashed against her account. The victim said that she determined that she was missing a book of checks. Investigations determined Correll to be a suspect. A short time later, deputies contacted Correll in the area of Tooman Road and Mazatal Drive. During conversations with Correll, she said that she found the checks and she admitted to having one of the checks cashed, a MCSO release stated. Correll was taken into custody without incident. Correll was allegedly in possession of a plastic bag containing a residue and a pipe with residue which field-tested positive for methamphetamine. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County jail.
