Letter: Thanks to all who helped with "Can Mohave Sing"

Thank you Kingman sponsors for sending our first "Can Mohave Sing" winner to "American Idol" tryouts.

This event assisted the winner financially to go to the "American Idol Tryouts" in Glendale on Friday. The quality of talent at Kingman's first tryout was impressive, and the judges stressed how hard it was to nail down one final winner.

I spearheaded the event and we're expecting a much larger turnout next year, although we were thrilled with the turnout Saturday. All Weather Comfort PLLC allowed me to promote from their office, and this event would not have happened without their generosity.

Also, we were aided by the following generous sponsors: Barbara Ricca and Bob Bass of Century 21 Barbara Ricca Realty, the Kingman Daily Miner, Mohave Wireless of Kingman, GV Lock & Wireless, Healthy Habits, Vortex Entertainment, Aunties Attics, Blue Moon Pest Control, Stromboli's, Stewart Title, Fastrax, Mohave Integrity Realty, Brunswick Hotel, The Phoenix Grill, Golden Valley Marketplace, Golden Valley Post Office and Staples of Kingman.

Judges for the event were Bass, Ken Anderson of Fools Speed Ahead and Don West of D & D Productions.
