In a recent letter to the Miner, Michael Dye questions why Residents Against Irresponsible Development didn't oppose the rezoning request for MedCath hospital and why we opposed a recent rezone request by a local developer at a nearby property. Let's see if I understand your reasoning.
You would have us oppose a facility that this town will doubtless need as we grow, but we should not question the zoning that would permit a potential poultry slaughterhouse or a 24-hour fueling station in the midst of a residential area. Now, there's some clear headed thinking! By the way, Mr. Dye, why weren't YOU at the Council meetings that addressed these issues and expressing your wishes at that time?
