KINGMAN - The Hualapai Valley Fire District received a report of a traffic collision at 8:03 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the intersection of north Bank Street and Jagerson Avenue. The department responded with a paramedic rescue squad and one engine company. Shortly after dispatch, additional information on the incident was received and an additional engine company and the fire chief also responded.
Upon arrival, a 1998 Ford Expedition was located on its side approximately two miles north of Jagerson Avenue on Bank Street with four juvenile victims. The Department of Public Safety air rescue was requested and responded to transport one victim, while two additional victims were transported by River Medical Ambulance to Kingman Regional Medical Center for treatment. The fourth victim refused treatment. HVFD personnel were on scene approximately one hour. The Mohave County Sheriff's Office also responded to the incident. Investigation determined the vehicle was traveling southbound on Bank Street when the vehicle hit a mud puddle, causing the operator to lose control and the vehicle rolled, a MCSO release stated. The accident remains under investigation, and speed may be a factor.
