Since I can remember, Kingman has been at a crossroad. It seems that phrase is recycled every time any dissension, conflict, change or quandary is before us. Once again we're at that ever-faithful crossroad.
Robin Gordon has shown through her own history in this community how dedicated and selfless her agenda is. Although she enjoyed a successful, 22-year career in telecommunications, community service has been a priority of hers. She completed the Chamber's leadership program, and she was a tireless champion for the Heritage Crossroads project. She was a member of the Cultural Arts Commission as well as the Technical Advisory Committee for strategic economic development.
Robin has a grounded sense of our city, because she has worked on so many of our issues during the past 30 years. She is able to define problems, harness resources and build consensus. She believes in negotiating from a point of knowledge rather than opinion.
At every crossroad, direction becomes the question: right, left, forward, backward, up, down, under, through, and yes, even status quo. I believe Robin Gordon is the best candidate to review the choices, offer her input, come to agreement with her council members. She can help us all move together and stay together in this process.
