Alfred John Rose, 73, of Kingman went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2008. He was the son of Eugene and Myrtle Rose of Oxnard, Calif., who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Rose; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Mary Rose of Oxnard, Calif., and Larry and Aliene Rose of Santa Paula, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Bob and Lucy Johnson of Kingman; three surviving children, Doyle and Sherry of Kingman, Deborah Dewey of Kingman, and Loretta Johnson of Kingman; and one nephew, Wayne Berry. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Sheral, David, Jason, Andrew, Tiffanie, Amanda, Elizabeth, Latina and Walter Jr.; and five great-grandchildren, Michael, John, Jrake, Chloe and Jaseianna. He was preceded in death by his son, Walter Johnson.
John was an ordained minister at Full Gospel Lighthouse in Kingman and a carpenter at JR Home Improvement in Kingman. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. We will all miss him, but God called him home to be with Him.
There will be a viewing held for John from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave. The service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 26, also at Sutton.
