GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's school resource officer has accused Nathan Wilson, 18, of Golden Valley and a 15-year-old Golden Valley child of possession of drug paraphernalia.
On the afternoon of March 7, the school resource officer responded to Eagle Academy in reference to two students with drug paraphernalia. Upon arrival, the school staff advised the officer that they found a marijuana pipe on the 15-year-old. The officer was further advised that Wilson had given the pipe to the 15-year-old. Deputies contacted the two. During conversations with Wilson, he said that he was holding the pipe for the 15-year-old. The officer confiscated the pipe. The juvenile was released to his mother. A juvenile referral will be submitted to the Mohave County Juvenile Probation. Wilson's charges will be submitted to the County Attorneys' Office for review.
KINGMAN - At about 1:10 p.m. on March 14, Kingman Police arrested Kenneth Ray Stockbridge, 35, of Kingman on a felony warrant for parole violation out of Arizona Department of Corrections. Stockbridge was arrested at a residence in the 3800 block of Roosevelt Street and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Helmut A. Duttchen, 60, of Kingman at around 1:38 p.m. on Friday in the 3300 block of Boquillas Drive for disorderly conduct and discharging a dangerous weapon, a felony. A neighbor reported hearing multiple gunshots coming from his backyard. The neighbor asked Duttchen what he was doing. Duttchen responded that he was shooting at the neighbor's dogs because the dogs barked all night. Duttchen told deputies that he was shooting into the ground near the dogs with a BB gun because the dogs constantly barked. Deputies confiscated the BB gun and took Duttchen into custody. None of the animals were harmed.
DOLAN SPRINGS - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting outside a restaurant at around 7:22 p.m. on Friday in the 15900 block of Pierce Ferry Road. Lewis W. Henderson, 68, of Dolan Springs was arrested by Mohave County Sheriff's deputies for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony. Henderson told deputies he had paid for some wood from the victim but had never received it. He confronted the victim outside of the restaurant and the victim punched him in the face a couple of times. The victim was about to punch him again when he pulled out a pistol and shot the victim. Deputies confiscated the handgun and arrested Henderson. The victim was flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
KINGMAN - The Kingman Fire Department responded to a fire at a two-story home at 1:46 p.m. on March 21 in the 3700 block of Hualapai Mountain Road. It took three engines, a water tender, 20 firefighters and a battalion chief to put out the fire. The fire was out by 5:52 p.m.
No one was in the home when it caught fire and no injuries were reported. The suspected cause of the blaze is combustible material placed too close to a wood-burning stove. The estimated damage is $30,000.
