Basketball open gym starts

KINGMAN - The Parks & Recreation Department is sponsoring a free open gym at Kingman Middle School from 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday through Nov. 25 for fifth- through eighth-graders. The gym will be closed on Tuesday, Veterans' Day.

Baseball tryouts for Under Armour

KINGMAN - The Under Armour National Tryout, conducted by Baseball Factory, will take place in Las Vegas at 1 p.m. Nov. 23 at the College of Southern Nevada. All high school athletes ages 13-18 are eligible to attend. Players are asked to report to the field at noon for registration.

The top players from the tryout may be selected for one of the following events: Under Armour Recruiting Classic, Dodgertown Christmas Camp & Tournament, Under Armour Southeast Tournament or the Omaha Pro Select Training & Tournament.

Baseball Factory is the No. 1 College Recruiting Service in the country by the National High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Men's hoops registration begins

KINGMAN - The Adult Men's City League Basketball has begun its registration period for the upcoming season. Registration will end on Nov. 19 or when 24 teams have filled the spots. Completed rosters are required at the time of registration along with the payment of team fees. Player fees are due prior to each teams' first league game.

Team fees are $350 and player fees are $10. Checks are to be made out to the City of Kingman.

There will be a mandatory manager's meeting at 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Kingman Police Department, 2730 E. Andy Devine Ave. The league is set to begin on Dec. 8. For more information, call the Parks & Recreation office at (928) 757-7919.
