KINGMAN - The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 10 a.m. on Wednesday to discuss several rezoning requests throughout the county.
In the Kingman area, the Commission will consider a request from Henry Varga of Roosevelt Estates to rezone nearly 40 acres from agricultural-residential 10-acre minimum lots to single-family residential 7,000-square-foot minimum lots, with manufactured homes prohibited. Roosevelt Estates would like to divide the land into 151 lots for single-family homes.
The Commission also will consider a request from Roosevelt Estates for a subdivision preliminary plan and petition of exception. The company is asking the Commission to allow for some blocks in the subdivision to be longer or shorter than regulations normally stipulate, allow double-fronted lots and request that the minimum width of Roosevelt Street be limited to 60 feet, instead of the required 70 feet.
