Eileen Margaret Prescott, 85, of Lapeer, Mich., formerly of Dearborn, Mich., and Kingman, Ariz., died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in Lapeer. She was born July 14, 1923, in Potsdam, N.Y., to Timothy and Cozette (O'Brien) Donahue. She married Harold L. Prescott on Jan. 18, 1944, in Norwood, N.Y.
Eileen was a dedicated member of Immaculate Conception Church in Lapeer. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, a great cook, baker, homemaker and a peacemaker at all costs. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge, knitting mittens and traveling around the country by RV and motorcycle.
Eileen is survived by her daughters, Suellen (Donn) Hoganson of Lapeer and Mary Beth Prescott of Lapeer; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Richard Donahue of Long Branch, N.J. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Prescott in February 2000; her parents, Timothy and Cozette; two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and the funeral service will follow at 11 at Immaculate Conception Church, Lapeer. Burial will be at Hunters Creek Cemetery, Lapeer. Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer, is handling arrangements.
