The Ladies Club had its annual Route 66 golf tournament on Sept. 27.

Fifty golfers enjoyed the tournament which included continental breakfast, lunch, raffle and door prizes and many prizes for golf.

A great big thanks goes out to Sherrol Pitts and the members of her committee for all their hard work.

Also thanks to all the men who helped out serving drinks and hot dogs, putting bags on carts and anything else that needed to be done.

I would like to thank Don Hays and Al Medina for rescuing me and my partner when my cart died out on the golf course.

This is always a great tournament and a great showcase for our course for the women who come from other golf courses.
