Surgical staff deserves a big hand
The second of October, my male unit had abdominal surgery at KRMC. We want to thank all the surgical staff, especially Frankie, for the care he received there. A big thanks to the anesthesiologist, whose name I can't spell, (sorry, Dr. M), and who took the time later to stop by and talk to me. A huge thank you to Dr. Sahawneh. You are the best! Thank you for stopping by and talking to me, too. The waiting is sometimes the hardest for the family. And to the nurses on the second floor, you gave my man the best of care, and I do so appreciate it, as does he. Your warm and personal attitude went a long way with us. To all the staff in Dr. Sahawneh's office, thank you. To Kendra, you went above and beyond in dealing with the insurance. To all who I have inadvertently overlooked but not forgotten, thank you. We were treated professionally and with competence, and yet, there was the human warmth there, too. A situation that no one wants to be in was made better.

Hearfelt thanks for husband's care
I am writing this as a small way of thanking, from the bottom of my heart, the wonderful care and love given to my husband while he was a resident of Desert Highlands Care Center for 13 months. I couldn't have left him in better care and wish to thank the nurses and aides who relentlessly care for the residents. They are there with kind words, a handshake, a pat on the shoulder plus the hugs and kisses. They called my husband "Dr. Phil" and he loved it. The staff was so wonderful to me, asking if there was anything they could do for me. They were all so very kind, always there for me. This is my way of letting them all know how much I appreciate their timeless dedication to their job and to my husband. These "angels" deserve a medal or a place reserved for them in heaven.
My deepest and sincere thanks,
Evelyn Mattson and my late husband, Phil
Thanks for help at the county fair
The Mohave County Livestock Project directors would like to thank everyone who helped with the 4-H and FFA Fair. Because of the hard work of the members and their families, this year's fair was a huge success. We especially want to say thank you to all the local business and individual supporters who came to the auction and bought a market animal. We thank you for your support by giving back to the youth of our community. We hope to see you again at the fair in 2009.

Grateful for Middle School's help
Kidz of Kingman thanks Kingman Middle School for participating in the yearly civic-awareness fundraiser for Kidz of Kingman. The students and staff did an outstanding job! They raised over $1,200 for the children in our community. Mr. Skubal's class was the winning class with the most money raised, and will get a pizza party provided by Kidz of Kingman.
Thank you Kingman Middle School students for doing an outstanding job! It feels great to donate!
