Pray for our nation Sunday

KINGMAN - The Kingman Ministerial Alliance will be hosting a city-wide prayer meeting for our nation at 6 p.m. Sunday at White Cliffs Middle School.

The churches of Kingman will gather to pray for our nation and the upcoming election. Our purpose is not to be political or to support one candidate over another but to ask God to lead and bless our nation.

We are not gathering to condemn anyone or any group of people but to ask God to bring revival to our nation. For too long the church has been "branded" as divisive or hateful, and at times those labels may have had a measure of truth to them. To those who have been wounded by hurtful attitudes or words, we offer a heartfelt apology and plea for forgiveness.

However, our desire this night is to ask God to bless our nation and its people. We want to invite the residents of Kingman and the surrounding area to join us for an uplifting time; a time to pray for things we are for, not just for what we are against.

In this time of economic upheaval, personal uncertainty and world events that can produce fear, we want to come together and believe God for great things in our lives and in this nation. We want to pray for presidential candidates, the upcoming election, the different propositions on the ballot, and our current economic situation in our nation and in Kingman.

Please come out this night and join us as we lift up the name of our God and ask Him to lead, guide and bless our nation.
