Several candidates run unopposed in primary

KINGMAN - Several candidates easily won their party's nomination for office during the primary election on Tuesday; they were running unopposed.

The following Democratic candidates will move on to the November General Election because they were running unopposed in the primary: John Thrasher for U.S. Representative for Congressional District 2, Albert Hale for Arizona Senate District 2, Mary Landahl for Arizona State Senate District 3, Pamela Durbin for Arizona State Representative District 3 and Randolph Wolfson for Division 5 Superior Court Judge.

The following Republican candidates will be on the November General Election ballots because they ran unopposed in this election: Trent Franks for U.S. Representative for District 2, Royce Jenkins for Arizona State Senate District 2, Ron Gould for Arizona State Senate District 3, Tom Sockwell for Mohave County Supervisor District 2, Matt Smith for Mohave County Attorney, Tom Sheahan for Mohave County Sheriff and Mike File for Mohave County School Superintendent.

The November ballot will also see Libertarian Powell Gammill and Green candidate William Crum in the race for U.S. Representative for District 2.
