DPS releases names of fatal crash victims

KINGMAN - The Arizona Department of Public Safety has identified the victims of a fatal crash that occurred on Monday on U.S. Highway 93 near milepost 35, about 16.5 miles south of Temple Bar Road.

DPS believes that a 1993 Toyota carrying five people was traveling northbound on U.S. 93 when the driver lost control for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to travel into the median and roll over into the southbound lanes of U.S. 93. A southbound 2004 Pontiac with two occupants then struck the Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota, Adam Klimek, 31, of Buckeye and two passengers, Enrique Quintero, 23, of Goodyear and Yvette Gonzalez, 18, of Avondale were killed.

Adriana Morales, 18, and her 11-month-old son, both of Avondale and passengers in the Toyota, were flown to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas.

DPS believes that only the driver in the Toyota was wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Pontiac, Gerardo Arias, 62, of El Paso, Texas, was also killed. His passenger, Graciela Menchaca Arias, 55, also from El Paso was flown to Las Vegas for medical treatment.
