KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Bill Burhan Hanes, 40, of Kingman Tuesday afternoon for a felony probation violation warrant, a misdemeanor failure to pay fines warrant from Gila County Superior Court and misdemeanor failure to stay at the scene of an accident. At 11:42 p.m., deputies responded to the scene of an accident at the intersection of Benton Street and Devlin Avenue. The driver of a Suzuki vehicle told deputies that a gold sedan had pulled out in front of him and he was unable to avoid hitting the vehicle. The driver of the gold sedan gave the man an insurance card and left the scene.Deputies were able to locate the driver of the gold sedan, Hanes, at a residence in the 4400 block of Roosevelt. Hanes admitted to leaving the scene of the accident. A record check showed Hanes' two outstanding warrants He was booked into the county jail.
