KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Matthew F. Wittig, 33, of Golden Valley Saturday morning on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony parole violation warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. At 11:07 a.m., deputies contacted Wittig during a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Beale Street. A records check showed Wittig to have an outstanding warrant. He was taken into custody without incident. A search of a suitcase belonging to Wittig revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana, three metal spoons with a white residue and a syringe. Wittig was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail Friday regarding an assault on a detention officer. At 8:24 p.m., a detention officer reported that Jorge Guerrero, 20, of Bullhead City threw body fluids on him while he was picking up dinner trays. Guerrero was charged with felony prisoner assault with body fluids. Guerrero has been in custody since Feb. 17, when he was arrested on seven felony warrants for first-degree murder, misconduct involving a weapon, two counts of misconduct involving a weapon, four counts of discharging a firearm at a structure, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of disorderly conduct involving a weapon, involvement in a prison riot, destruction of jail property, criminal damage, drive-by shooting, kidnapping and failure to appear.

GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested James Logan Greenfield, 29, of Golden Valley Saturday on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, along with a misdemeanor probation violation warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court and a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. At 2:46 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Bolsa Drive near Verde Road. Deputies stopped and observed the vehicle to have a flat tire. Deputies contacted a male subject identified as Greenfield. A records check showed Greenfield to have outstanding warrants. He was taken into custody without incident. A search of Greenfield revealed a syringe, a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance and a jar containing marijuana. He was booked into the Mohave County Jail.
