Betty J. Lemarr, 74, of Kingman passed away Friday, March 27, 2009, at her home after a short illness.
She was born March 8, 1935, in Cody, Wyo., to Charles H. and Alice J. Ferree.
She came to Kingman 19 years ago from Rock Springs, Wyo., where she retired from City Market grocery store.
She worked for Dean's Bread Store and volunteered at a food bank. She loved cooking, gambling, playing bridge and crocheting.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary; and her sister-in-law, Gayle King.
Betty is survived by the husband of 31 years, Eddie Lemarr; daughter, Teri Abbott of Kingman; son, Mark Abbott of Vernal, Utah; step-daughters, Jayme (Fabyn) of Thayne, Wyo., and Joannie LeMarr of Sacramento, Calif.; step-son, John Lemarr of Prescott.
She is also survived by four brothers, Raymond (Carole) Ferree of Thermopolis, Wyo., Art King of Springfield, Colo., John (Sherri) Ferree of Las Vegas and Lloyd (Carol) Ferree of Sacramento; and four step-grandchildren.
