Fashion show, tea Friday

KINGMAN - The Spring Fling Ladies Tea Party and Fashion Show, featuring outfits from local department stores modeled by center volunteers, starts at 1 p.m. Friday at the Kathryn Heidenreich Adult Center, 1776 Airway Ave.

Refreshments will be available. Admission is by donation and the public is invited.

Fish habitat help sought

KINGMAN - The Arizona Game and Fish Department is seeking volunteers to assist with a fish habitat improvement project at Lake Mohave on Friday.

Department biologists are planning to sink man-made structures off the shoreline of Lake Mohave and need some assistance in assembling the structures and filling sandbags.

BSA golf signups due Friday

KINGMAN - The 4th Annual Boy Scouts of America Troop 19 Golf Tournament starts at 8 a.m. May 2 at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course.

Entry fee for the four-player scramble is $70 per person. The price includes golf and lunch as well as chances for closest to the pin and long drive awards. A number of items will be raffled and a skins game will be held. Prizes will be awarded for both low gross and low net teams.

Registration deadline is Friday.

Proceeds benefit BSA Troop 19.

Biker bash fundraiser set

KINGMAN - The 2nd Annual Super-Duper Double Wammer-Jammer Biker Extravaganza, including a swap meet, bike smash, burnout box and bike show, starts at noon Saturday at Performance Specialists.

The event, held in conjunction with the Laughlin River Run, is a fundraiser for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Performance Specialists is located at 4906 Olympic Drive at the Kingman Airport.

Food and beer will be sold and vendors are welcome. The event is co-sponsored by Desert Road Riders. Call (928) 692-6601 for more information.

B&G Club hosts bingo event

KINGMAN - The Boys and Girls Club of Kingman hosts bingo at 7 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. at 301 N. 1st St.

Animal shelter event set

KINGMAN - Kingman Animal Hospital's 1st Annual Help Your Shelter Days, a fundraiser for the Mohave County Control spay and neuter program, is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1650 Northern Ave.

Activities and events for the fundraiser include a demonstration by the Mohave County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, a raffle, educational booths and games for kids. Donations of raffle items and gift certificates are being solicited for the event. In addition, Kingman Animal Hospital will donate 5 percent of all money from spay and neuter procedures from May 3-9 to the county spay and neuter program.

Elks slate spaghetti feed

KINGMAN - The Kingman Elks Lodges hosts a spaghetti feed/karaoke party from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Admission is $7.95 per person. Those skipping the dinner will pay a small cover charge.

The Elks Lodge is located at 900 W. Gates Ave.
