A golf tournament will be held this Saturday, Aug. 15, to benefit the Allison family. The format will be a four-person scramble - one A player per team. Sign-in will be at 7 a.m. with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

The book discussion at the library this month will have a fun and tasty format. The books are various Joanne Fluke mysteries with Hannah Swensen, owner of The Cookie Jar Bake Shop, as the main character. The books contain several recipes as well as a murder mystery.
In conjunction with this, the library is planning a potluck luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 20, at noon to taste-test some of the recipes and discuss the books. Although the books feature mostly dessert recipes, the luncheon will also have main dishes and salads.
