Corey Bolander, a 2008 graduate of Kingman High School, graduated Aug. 21 from Universal Technical Institute, an auto program in Avondale. Corey graduated with honors (3.8 GPA) and was on the Dean's List. He received his associate's degree. He had perfect attendance. In September, he will continue his schooling at UTI in Sacramento, Calif., for classes on Toyota, Lexus, Scion and other cars. Corey will take his tests to become a master certified technician after completing this school. He will be working an internship at Toyota for eight weeks after he graduates in December, and then he wants to work for Toyota or some other auto dealership. Corey had two fundraisers and won several scholarships to help him through school. Many of you helped Corey by donating to these fundraisers or coming to these garage sales, and he is thankful for all the kind people in Kingman who helped him. His grandparents, Gloria and Leonard Thompson of Kingman, are so proud of what he has already accomplished.
