Resorts hire new manager

LAUGHLIN - Tropicana Entertainment, LLC has named Allan W. Kronberg as the new general manager of the company's two resort casinos in Laughlin. Kronberg's appointment to the GM post for Tropicana Express and for the River Palms Resort and Casino is effective immediately, according to Tropicana CEO Scott C. Butera.

Kronberg has more than three decades of hospitality and gaming management experience. He has managed five-star resorts and gaming facilities in the U.S. and Canada, and has successfully implemented continuous improvement and customer assurance practices with companies such as Hyatt and Cendant.

Prior to signing on with Tropicana Entertainment, Kronberg had been general manager and director of hospitality for four years at Treasure Island Resort and Casino in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota. At Treasure Island, he was responsible for all the resort's operations including a casino with 2,500 slots, 44 table games and a poker room, as well as a hotel with 488 rooms, five restaurants and a dining cruise boat.

In previous years, Kronberg held top sales, marketing and business development positions with Colony Hotel Palm Beach in Florida, Boutique Hotels and Resorts International, Noble House Hotels and Resorts and the Cape Cod Sheraton Hotel.
