Ms. Carly Denise Calhoun and Mr. Lane Steele Westcott were united in marriage in an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Shady Oaks Wedding venue in Spring, Texas.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Cathcart.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony. A+ Mobile DJ Service provided music for the ceremony and reception.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tiedemann of Berkeley, Calif., and Mr. Duane Calhoun of Spring. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Norma McCallister of Houston, the late Mr. Ernie Glover of Houston and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Calhoun of Alvin, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Westcott of Spring. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl "Buzz" Westcott of Kingman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Grabfelder of Kingman.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin a-line gown with a beaded embroidered metallic bodice, inverted V-empire and cathedral train.
The bride's bouquet, made by her mother, consisted of two dozen red roses.
Ms. Casey Calhoun of Evansville, Ind., sister of the bride, served as Maid of Honor.
Bridesmaids included Ms. Ashley Grimes and Ms. Allison Green, both of Spring, and Mrs. Emaley Oxley and Ms. Elizabeth Marquez, both of Humble, Texas.
The attendants wore various styled dresses in apple red with silver accessories. Their bouquets, made by the bride's mother, consisted of white roses.
The couple's daughter, Kylee Denise Westcott, served as flower girl.
Mr. Beau Clark of Houston, childhood friend of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Ryan Westcott, brother of the groom, Mr. Mike Saldana and Mr. Henry Langston all of Spring, and Mr. Julio Gonzalez of Humble.
Ushers were the bride's brothers, Mr. Brent Woolverton of Houston, Mr. Alex Calhoun of Spring and Mr. Kyle Kiesov of Dallas.
Master Evan Westcott of Spring, nephew of the groom, served as the ring bearer.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Spring High School. She attended the University of Houston and is currently continuing her education in Nursing at Lone Star College.
The groom, a former resident of Kingman, is a 2004 graduate of Spring High School. He is currently employed with Borco LP of Houston.
After a honeymoon to Southern California, the couple will make their home in Houston.
