Mohave 911: Monday, February 2, 2009

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jason Scott McQueen, 30, and Christina Jean Ellis, 27, both of Kingman Tuesday evening. McQueen was arrested on a felony warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia issued by Kingman Justice Court. Ellis was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. At 11:01 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Northern Avenue near Stardust and contacted McQueen, the driver. A records check showed McQueen to have an outstanding warrant. McQueen was taken into custody without incident. Deputies contacted the passenger, identified as Ellis. A records check showed Ellis to have an outstanding warrant. Ellis was taken into custody without incident. A search of Ellis' purse revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. A pipe with burnt residue was located near the center console. She allegedly admitted that both items belonged to her.

McQueen and Ellis were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Lewis Milton Smiley, 44, and Alexis Kay Haley, 49, both of Golden Valley the afternoon of Jan. 24. Smiley was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. Haley was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of drug paraphernalia. At 1:15 p.m., deputies responded to the 7300 block of Collins Drive in reference to a wanted person identified as Smiley. As deputies approached the front door, they observed Smiley sitting next to Haley on a couch. They observed Smiley and Haley set items on the ground near their feet. Deputies observed on the ground a 5-inch glass smoking pipe with white residue. A plastic bag containing a white crystal substance was also located on the ground. Haley allegedly said that she put the glass pipe down on the ground. Smiley and Haley were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
