Thanks: Kingman Community

The Lewis Kingman Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution would again like to thank the community for their kind generosity that allowed us to send another 96 boxes to our troops for Christmas. In addition, many pairs of socks, pajamas, toiletries and other things were sent to our veterans in Phoenix and Prescott.

Using money left over from last year's donations, combined with this year's, allowed us to purchase and mail all these goodies. In addition to all the people who gave money last year to this cause, we would also like to thank the ones who gave money, gift cards and other necessities to this cause this year: BPO Elks; Kingman Lodge No. 22 F and AM; Ms. Huntington's 6th-8th grade classes; Slightly High Maintenance; Christian's Cut and Curl; Safeway North; Safeway South; Mr. Fred Bunge; Ms. Angie Sills; Cracker Barrel; Sam's Club; and our chapter members.

We ship packages to our military personnel in harm's way all year long, as well as sending books, CDs, DVDs, clothing and other items to our vets in Phoenix and Prescott and also to our wounded warriors in the hospital at Landstuhl, Germany.

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit corporation. Cash and gift card donations are welcomed at any time and are tax-deductible. Donations may be mailed to Lewis Kingman Chapter NSDAR, P.O. Box 4166, Kingman, AZ 86402-4166.

May God bless all who helped with this project. It means so much to our troops. If you have a loved one or friend in Iraq or Afghanistan, we will be happy to send them at least one package, perhaps more, if you will mail us his/her APO/FPO address. For more information, please call 692-6636 or 718-1857. Thanks again to all of you.

Judy Bodenhamer, vice regent of Lewis Kingman Chapter NSDAR
