KINGMAN - As a community outreach program, dental hygiene students on the Mohave Community College's Henry Campus in Bullhead City will perform free dental cleanings, fluoride treatments and offer oral hygiene instructions to Mohave County children on Saturday. The annual "Give Kids a Smile" program is for children aged 4 to 14 without dental insurance, and the event runs 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Allied Health Services Building. Appointments must be made in advance. Last year, 62 children participated and 79 sealants were placed. To make an appointment, call the MCC Dental Programs office at (928) 704-7797.

KINGMAN - Mohave Community College's Small Business Development Center will hold free public safety training by the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health. The next classes will be on Wednesday in Room 1101 of Neal Campus in Kingman. The scaffold safety training will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and the electrical safety training will run from 1 to 4 p.m. The electrical safety awareness class will provide information about federal safety standards that apply to the construction industry and general industry. The OSHA scaffold safety class will provide requirements for the safe and proper use of scaffolding commonly used in construction and general industry.
