Peter S. Gorski, age 88, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009. Born in Tacoma, Wash., he grew up in Erie, Pa., and served in World War II for four years.
He resided in Kearsarge, Pa., after marriage to Anna May Gorr in May of 1948. He was a volunteer fireman for more than 20 years and was a member of United Commercial Travelers of America, Erie Post 216. They moved to Las Vegas in 1972, where he worked for Nevada Power Company and retired as manager of claims in 1985.
After retirement they moved to Arizona.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years; his daughter, Sharon, and son-in-law, Robyn Brohard of Boulder City, Nev.; his sister, Helen Farrell of Erie, Pa.; and several nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held at a later date at Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church in Dolan Springs, with burial at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
