Krista Jo-Anne Dix went home to be with her Savior on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009.
Krista was born in Kingman on Jan. 8, 1973, to parents Joel and Lora Freed. Krista graduated from Kingman High School in 1991 and attended the University of Arizona.
Preceded in death by her father, Joel Freed, Krista is survived by her mother, Lora Freed; sisters, Misty and Nicole Freed; brother, Joel Freed II; sister-in-law, Amber Freed; and nephew, Joel Freed III. There are also many aunts, uncles, cousins and close family friends.
Krista was employed by several Kingman businesses, but her favorite job was her last, with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office. Krista was a dispatcher and member of the Community Emergency Response Team for the past several years.
Krista really enjoyed working for the Sheriff's Office, spending time with family and friends, reading and watching movies. Krista had an amazing smile and left a lasting impression on almost everyone she met.
The Freed family would like to give special thanks to KRMC Hospice, especially Beverly Poole; the nurses and staff of the Kingman Regional Medical Center and the entire staff of the Mohave County Sheriff's Office.
A "Celebrating Life" party will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, at St. Johns Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, smile at someone you don't know, hug someone you like and kiss someone you love.
