Boys and Girls Club of Kingman: Zumba Fitness classes are going strong at the Boys and Girls Club of Kingman, 301 N. First St. Classes are taught by a certified Zumba instructor. Our next session will start at 6 p.m. Monday. The cost is $30 for seven one-hour classes. Call 718-0033 for more information.

Cactus Critters 4-H Club: The regular Canine Critters group obedience class will be from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday at the Fairgrounds. Please be on time and call your instructor at 565-9323 if you are unable to attend.

Chloride Chamber of Commerce: Chloride's annual St. Patrick's Day celebration will be March 14. Anyone interested in participating in the parade down the main streets of Chloride can receive an entry form by calling the Chamber at 565-4888. The parade starts at high noon and travels down Tennessee Avenue to Second Street.

The Luv of Paws: Starting at 8 a.m. each day, there will be a fundraiser yard sale at 2845 Airway Ave. on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. only, "Fill a Bag for a Buck." Proceeds benefit the rescued animals at For the Luv of Paws, a non-profit, no-kill domestic animal rescue and sanctuary. For more information, call Cherie at 897-7304.

Friday Afternoon Bridge Club: Winners on Feb. 20 were: first place, Brian Carlson and Trey Gordon; second place, Lorraine Frazza and Cecil Henry; third place, Lois Viola and Wolfgang Vorbau; and fourth place, Karla Kay and Jim Blaschak.

Help Animals Lives Today (HALT): Join us for "Adoption Days" at Petco on Stockton Hill Road from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sundays. With each HALT animal adopted, you will receive a Petco certificate bonus booklet valued at a maximum of $225 for dogs or $125 for cats. HALT provides free dog training with a professional trainer on Sundays from 10 a.m. to noon at 6625 Massachusetts with HALT dogs on the premises or dogs adopted from HALT. Check the Web site for more information on HALT's Free Weight Loss Program. If you are 18 and over we need your help to walk and socialize animals. Volunteers are needed to temporarily care for HALT animals in "Foster Homes!" HALT's fundraiser will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday through Sunday at 3765 Pack Saddle Road. There will be a Low Cost Spay/Neuter and Vaccination Clinic hosted by Plateauland Mobile Veterinary Clinic and HALT on Friday, March 13, at Smith's parking lot. Surgery check-in is at 8 a.m. and the vaccination clinic will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Appointments are necessary for surgery. Call 888-241-9731. Kingman Rebekah's Lodge No. 12: Kingman Rebekah Lodge met Feb 16 with Noble Grand Vergie Littau, presiding. There were 17 members attending and one visitor. Sandy Chandler from the Jurisdiction of Colorado was introduced and welcomed. Sandy has recently moved to Kingman. Under business for the lodge, the new budget for 2009 was approved with one addition. Cherie Hart reported on the roof repairs. Leta Davis read the estimates for the electrical and light repairs. Further estimates will be presented at the next meeting. Vergie appointed Jeanette Hunger to fill the vacancy on the Budget and Finance Committee. Louise Dunham, Cherie Hart and Hulda Watson reported on the president's official visits to Globe, Tucson and Phoenix. The door prize was won by Karen Sanders and the Pig-n-Poke by Jeanette Hunger. Refreshments for the evening were provided by Billy Hazle and Cherie Hart. The next regular meeting will be Monday with Vergie and Jeanette serving as hostesses.

Kingman Route 66 Rotary Club: Kingman Route 66 Rotary now meets at 7 a.m. on Fridays at Kingman Regional Medical Center's Mohave Meeting Room.

Korean War Veterans Association of Mohave County: We will hold our meeting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, at the VFW Post 10386, 3036 John L Ave. We will hold a fundraising dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. that same evening at the post. They will be serving parmesan chicken, herb roasted potatoes, veggies, salad and peach cobbler for dessert. The cost for the dinner is a $7 donation. This event is open to the public.
