KINGMAN - It's amazing how much stuff a family, a couple or even a single person can collect in a few short years. The hard part is finding a place to store all that stuff.
Pat and Mike Grainger own the Kokopelli Storage Center on North Bank Street in Kingman. The company recently extended its storage service to Golden Valley with a new 182-unit storage facility at State Route 68 and South Kirkland Road.
"There's definitely a need out here, with Rhodes coming," said Pat Grainger, co-owner with her husband, Mike. "And a little competition is good."
The facility offers not only storage space but also boxes, bubble wrap and other necessities to pack items securely for shipping and moving. Kokopelli even offers mailbox services for those wanting security for their mail.
There is a keypad for entrance into the facility and a site manager on duty at all times. Each of the storage units has an alarm to alert the manager to possible break-ins.
Storage units range from 5-by-10 feet to 10-by-30 feet in size and run from as little as $35 to as much as $120 a month.
The Graingers plan to expand the Golden Valley facility to create space for RV, boat and camper storage on the site in the near future.
Kokopelli in Golden Valley is open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays.
