Attorneys request video in robbery case

KINGMAN - A piece of videotape may prove to be worth a thousand words.

Attorneys for Robert Racicot and Crystal Creamer have both requested a copy of a surveillance tape from a truck stop in the 2700 block of State Route 66, a complete copy of a search warrant, a list of items seized and a copy of a subpoena.

Racicot, 33 and Creamer, 30, are charged with felony theft, fraudulent schemes and artifices, two counts of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon during a drug offense.

Creamer and Racicot were allegedly involved in the theft of around $3,700 from the truck stop on Route 66 in November. Creamer worked at the truck stop for a short while before the business was robbed on Nov. 9.

Mohave County Sheriff's Deputies and the Mohave Area Narcotics Enforcement Team served a search warrant on a residence in 6600 block of Halmar Road on Nov. 19 after a vehicle matching the description of one involved in the robbery was spotted. Officers found 10 marijuana plants, various drug paraphernalia, 40 weapons, a black ski mask and gloves and large amounts of cash in various denominations.

The next hearing is at 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 25.
