My dear father, born in Canby, Minn., on Dec. 30, 1931, has passed away peacefully at his Golden Valley home with his daughter by his side, Tina Melrose.

Chuck moved to Kingman in the 1960s and retired as a mechanic there. He had a passion for the Special Olympics, awards from Kingman Police cadet programs, was an honored Elk of the year, and was an active American Legion and VFW member. He loved life, the outdoors, people, animals, wildlife, fishing, hiking, hunting, farming, photography and popping popcorn for everyone.

He is survived by daughter, Tina of Golden Valley; two sons, Dane and JC; four grandsons, Wade, James, Jason and Jesse; a great grandchild on the way; three sisters, Linda, Arlene and Darlene; and a brother, Milton, all residing in Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Lee Melrose.

Chuck will be dearly missed by many but never forgotten.

A private memorial service has been planned for later in the week. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Mohave Community Credit Union, 2809 Stockton Hill Road. For more information, call Shelly at (928) 753-8000, ext. 203.
