Thanks to Scout Troop 66

Kidz of Kingman would like to thank Scout Troop 66 for its generous donations and its commitment to the Christmas Gifts 4 Kids Program!

Carol Crist, director of Kidz of Kingman and her daughter, Teah Crist, along with Co-Director Bernadette Pilkington, proudly accepted toys from Troop 66.

Crist explained to the young children of Troop 66 how grateful she was for their donations and how wonderful it is to give to our community and that they should all be very proud of themselves for helping to make a difference in the lives of the children in Kingman. Thank you, Troop 66!

Thanks to all of you in our community; Christmas was wonderful for so many Kingman children.

2008 was a wonderful year for Kidz of Kingman and you all deserve a huge round of applause for your part in helping to make a difference in the lives of the children in our community.

I would like to say that I am overwhelmed and overjoyed with the outpouring of generosity of our supporters, our contributors and the citizens of Kingman during this economy.

This Christmas was extra special for Kingman's children because of the commitment of the following businesses and clubs:

• DJ's Biker Apparel's Daniel and Jessica Swaine participated in our Christmas Gifts 4 Kids Program. We put up a gift-giving tree for monetary donations and unwrapped toys at DJ's Biker Apparel. Daniel and Jessica held a picture-taking event with Santa on a Harley! Combined with the Christmas Gifts 4 Kids Program gift-giving tree, they raised more than $1,800 in unwrapped gifts and monetary donations! Awesome job! We look forward to working with Daniel and Jessica throughout the coming 2009 year.

AZ Low Times car club held a car show on Dec. 13. The entry fee of unwrapped toys went to our Christmas Gifts 4 Kids Program. They did an outstanding job and they should be very proud! We drove away with a truckload of toys estimated at $2,000. Wonderful job!

• Koins 4 Kids competition! Containers will be emptied in January. So, try to win!

• Our next Kidz of Kingman meeting will be at 11 a.m. on Jan. 27 in the Kidz of Kingman office.

• NPG Poker Run: This event is still in the planning stages.

• Kidz of Kingman Walkathon: Still in the planning stages.

• Dental Clinic and Education Fair: Still in the planning stages with Dr. Lucero and his staff.

• Bachelor Auction 2009: Still in the planning stages; do you know any bachelors? Possibly slated for August with a theme of "Hot Summer Nights."

Please call Kidz of Kingman office if you would like more information or to become involved in helping to make these upcoming events a success!

It feels great to donate!
