KAOL 8th falls to Parker boys

Despite Ty Sherwood's 18 points, the Kingman Academy of Learning eighth-grade boys basketball team fell to the Wallace Colts 38-36 on Thursday in Parker.

Alec Padilla scored 8 points and Ike Chinyere and Johnny Herrero each had 5 for the Coyotes.

KAOL's seventh-grade team came out extremely flat and never recovered, as Wallace ran away from the Coyotes, 52-30. Aaron Hurt and Breyden Potter led KAOL with 8 points each, Lance Martin scored 7, Henry Chinyere 3 and Westin McCord and Austin "Goat" Tomlinson each added 2.

In the Jan. 18 roundup, it was reported KAOL's eighth-grade boys team lost to White Cliffs 51-18, but, in fact, it was the Coyotes who were on the winning side of the scoreboard. Sherwood scored 20 and Padilla had 14 in the win over the Wolves.
