MCC employee dies after being injured by machinery

KINGMAN - The Mohave County Medical Examiner's Officer is conducting an autopsy today on the body of an employee who died on the Kingman Campus of Mohave Community College.

Sean McMahon, public information officer for the college, confirmed that a maintenance employee was fatally injured in an accident around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

His name is not being released at this time per the family's request.

An official with Northern Consolidated Fire District said a 74-year-old man was found unresponsive after being knocked over by a piece of machinery in the auto shop.

The man was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
