MCSO Explorers earn trophies at competition

KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Explorers Post #65 participated in the Explorers Conference Competition held in Las Vegas on June 13.

The competition included Explorer posts from numerous California agencies, U.S. Border Patrol, Salt Lake City, Washington State, Colorado and Arizona.

They competed against 42 Explorer units and brought home two trophies; a 4th place trophy in Crime Scene Investigation and a 5th place trophy in Air Soft Shoot.

The simulated law enforcement events included: traffic stops, armed robbery in-progress, in-progress active shooter at a school, burglary call in progress, use of force (handcuffing, baton, mace and lethal force), marksmanship with soft air guns, bicycle course, obstacle course and team challenge.
