KINGMAN - The Arizona Department of Public Safety recently released information about an accident that occurred at 12:25 a.m. on May 24. They investigated a three-vehicle injury collision near milepost 10 on Highway 93. The collision involved two passenger cars and one SUV. One person was flown from the scene to a Las Vegas area hospital by a medical helicopter and six other patients were transported from the scene. All injured parties were treated and later released. The highway was blocked in both directions for approximately one hour until one lane was opened at 1:43 a.m. The road was completely cleared at about 3:17 p.m. DPS was assisted by National Park Service rangers, Hoover Dam Police and ADOT.
KINGMAN - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Thomas Kenneth Hart, 39, of Kingman Saturday afternoon on suspicion of felony criminal damage per domestic violence and misdemeanor assault per domestic violence. At 4:20 p.m. on May 27, deputies responded to the 3800 block of Suffock Avenue in reference to a criminal damage report that occurred in the 1700 block of John L Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies contacted a 24-year-old woman. The woman said that she drove to Hart's residence in the 1700 block of John L to give him a ride to a business. Hart became upset because she was running late. He got into the backseat of her vehicle and he started pulling her hair and grabbing at her face, she said. The woman told Hart to get out of her car. She said Hart broke the driver-side rear window with a hammer and, as she was driving away, threw a hammer which smashed the back window of the car. Deputies contacted a witness and the witness said that Hart was upset when they arrived. The witness confirmed that Hart broke both windows with a hammer. Deputies observed the vehicle to have broken windows. At 6:30 p.m., deputies contacted Hart as he was walking on Bank Street near Suffock Avenue. Hart said he knew nothing about the car windows being broken. Hart was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
GOLDEN VALLEY - Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Nicholas Joseph Carter, 53, of Bullhead City Friday evening on suspicion of felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. At 8:44 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 68 at Colorado Road and contacted Carter, the driver. Deputies observed a marijuana pipe in the center console. Deputies questioned Carter and he allegedly said he had another marijuana pipe and a marijuana bud in his possession. Deputies confiscated both pipes and the marijuana located inside a plastic bag. Carter was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
